This can go either with a full beard or with his classic trimmed yet giant mustache. Ron is a pretty easy costume to throw together at the last minute. You just need a polo shirt with jeans or dress pants and a set of work boots. Add a nametag and/or a plate of breakfast food, (or some whiskey) and you’re set! Bonus points if you can convince your partner to dress up as Tammy so you can have a wild night that you may or may not remember. Just stay away from the library at all costs.

If you haven’t been living under a rock lately and have been watching sports even out of the corner of your eye as you pass by a TV, you will notice that beards are making a HUGE comeback among different athletes this year. LeBron James is currently sporting a massive beard right now and it has pretty much become his signature style, or you could go as James Harden who’s epic facial hair has literally earned him the nickname “The Beard.” Go 76ers! 

Forrest Gump

If you’re more into classic movies and less into sports, well we’ve got you covered! Forrest Gump may not be known for his beard, but he definitely sports a long and remarkable beard in the film. This is another fairly easy costume to put together because you just need your beard, a hat, and some old running gear. Be prepared to have a lot of people quote the movie at you though, so that will be interesting to say the least. 

Chuck Norris

One of my favorite Chuck Norris jokes goes like this: “There is no chin behind Chuck Norris' beard. There is only another fist.” I think that ties into this year’s costume suggestion quite well. The man who is known for his roundhouse kicks is just as widely known for his stylish full beard that has pretty much adorned his face since Moby Dick was the size of a tadpole.

Captain Obvious

This irreverent and memorable character from the Hotels.com advertisements is another out of the box choice for your Halloween costume this year. He is funny without being too silly and the costume, while being pretty tough to source, will be one of a kind. And you will make your fellow partiers happy by allowing them to say “Thanks, Captain Obvious” every time you do or say something remotely nice the whole evening. Win win!
